My recent client project was to build a simple single-page website for an independent financial advisor. With kind permission from the website and business owner, I am able to share with you the process of creating this website.
One of the most enjoyable things about being a freelance designer and front-end developer is that I get to work with a variety of clients from all niches and industries.
StuartSalisburyLtd is an independent financial advisor based in the UK who, through his marketing agency, reached out to us with the request to design a simple, one-page website.
The aim of the website is to provide information about the services offered, as well as a point of contact to the business.
The project started off with a simple wireframe sketch of the layout for each main section. After the sketch was approved by the client, the design was carried out on a staging environment using WordPress and Oxygen Builder.
The website consists of the following sections as well as legal pages –
- About section
- Services section
- Contact form section
- Privacy policy page
- Terms page
- Compliants link to downloadable PDF
Whilst this was not a complex project as such, careful attention was paid to making the site user-friendly and mobile-responsive.
A useful ‘Give Us A Call’ telephone link was added in the navigation menu giving users an easy point of contact.
The client had picked out their own branding colors, as well as supplied the copywriting and logo for us to include in the final design.
After several light revisions and modifications, the client was happy with his new website and it was ready to start attracting more leads to the business.
